ITALIAN SOJOURN
Villa Dayze and Vieri Sturlini are proud to announce the collaborative release of their anticipated 14-track album, being released May 1st 2026 titled Italian Sojourn.
“Itailan Sojourn” is a journey featuring Vieri Sturlini, a versatile Italian musician, guitarist, and mandolin player from Florence. Sturlini offers a unique blend of traditional Italian musicality with contemporary versatility, making him a highly sought-after collaborator.
The Italian Sojourn series marks the next global journey soundscape for Villa Dayze. It follows the evocative, bouzouki-led melodies of Pantelis Krestas on Greek Island Life (2024) and the traditional Thai instrumentation by Peranya Visitchantaragoon on Thai Island Life (2025). Peranya recently worked providing Thai traditional music for HBO'S The White Lotus:Season 3 working with series music award winning Chilean-Canadian composer Cristobal "Cristo" Tapia de Veer.
Andrea Rubele, Italian Spaghetti illustrator, artist and lead creative, developed the 14-track illustrative series and animations, crafted from an Italian coastal seaside landscape that feels iconic and representative of the collective imagination of Italy. With each weekly release, the design will evolve over 14 different moments, from morning to night. As the colour palette changes and various details evolve, the series remains a narrative of a typical Italian day.
The series font choice was selected as it reminded Andrea of “..This style reminds me of some Italian music albums from the 1970s...".
SARDINIA is the latest destination release from Villa Dayze and Vieri Sturlini as the journey continues with the next focus track release from the anticipated 14-track album, "Italian Sojourn".
